Der Überlist: 2008
Yay! Power’s back on. (Here’s hoping tonight’s storm doesn’t knock it back out.) By the end of today, I’ll be caught up on all my orders. And it’s almost 2008, and you know what that means! Yessiree, the Überlist.
under 2 hours under a day a day or 2, if I’m industrious maybe a week? not overly time-consuming, but expensive or relying heavily on other parties to complete ongoing projects, or ones that will take for fucking ever

This isn’t absolutely final, but it’s close.
Home Improvement:
- Make and hang curtain in laundry room
Take down bunting in bedroom, alreadyFind/fix my shams or get a new duvet set(haven’t put it on yet–waiting for Freddy to grow up a bit)- Make 3 energy improvements
- Get an estimate on geothermal for grant-seeking purposes
- Experiment with small-scale solar something
- Hire someone to clean out gutters (or do it ourselves)
- Refinish kitchen cabinets
- Pick out nice colors for various room to use up existing paints and then hire one of those paint guys
Move top-loading washing machine upstairs to home ec room- Get backup system to run boiler electric in place
Emergency power kit (extension cords, radio, station to charge flashlights, etc.)Laminate generator starter/care instructions & attach to generatorFix feet on microwave- Unpack collections and display
- Make sure each room has desk & chair, lamp(s), wastebasket (label bottom of each with room name)
Sort out boiler room sump pit mess- Repair that freaking wardrobe already
- Clear out/organize north gym closet
- Clear out/organize south gym closet
- Clear out/organize south basement closet
- Clear out/organize basement storage room
- Clear out/organize locker storage room
- Clear out/organize lobby supply closet
- Bedroom closets
- Completely put away everything in the back hall and keep the ramp up on its side La Martha:
- Better manage recycling
- Address/pay/file papers/bills as they come in
Decide and divide chores and/or hire someone to clean bi-weekly- File those overflowing baskets of crap, already!
Big cooking weekend quarterly for stock, sauces, beans, and soups(not formally; but kept up pretty well)- Clean up bedroom and keep it that way, somehow. Prayer, maybe?
Retally yarn stashand complete 40% yarn destash (use/sell/give) before any new purchases- Eliminate 100# of fiber outright & spin another 10#
Reinstitute Daily 5 list & weekly routine- Use breadmaker weekly
- Clear out/organize safe
- Set up packing area & rig up an old computer/printer or get new one.
- Bag merch
- Organize merch
- Organize home ec room The Internets/computer:
- Get that whore of an inbox emptied out and KEEP IT CLEAN! GTD! GTD! GTD!
- Reformat NN site so it’s easier to find shit & looks cuter
- Add gallery to NN site
- Add books to Thrifty Knitter
- Add cookbooks to Out of the Frying Pan
- Retrieve data off of old hard drive, or just abandon the whole idea and reformat
- Backup system
- Finish mom’s ‘07 Mother’s Day present. Sigh. Bad daughter. Monies:
- Honestly address my finances and come up with a viable plan of attack
- Figure out a modest discretionary budget and stick to it
Combine/organize PayPal accounts- Track spending/income and review weekly MeMeMe:
Get rid of 100 items of clothing(1/1)- Back to goal weight–attend WW meetings. Yuck. What a hassle.

Memorize 2-letter Scrabble wordsMake some of those SHE cards for basic beauty so I don’t keep finding myself with caveman eyebrows(made them; but don’t use, so…)- Annual exam–ask about mid-cycle cramps

Visit Austin!- Use the excerbike 3x/week when I’m knitting in front of the tee vee. Kraftwerk:

Motorize one of my carders(bought motorized carder instead) TCB:- Better insurance
- Make brochures with venue info
- Get plaque for grandpa
- Update LSF site
HVP koozies(decided against)- Scan all Eskridge photos
- Write up architecture student proposal
- Master plan for Harveyville property
- Form S-corporation? Or other decide against.
- Clean up & upload yearbook scans
- Scan and upload another yearbook
- Put flag back up
- Pick one day as Grant Day and earnestly pursue grants
- Apply for 4 grants

Hire someone to clean up Eskridge buildings(did hire; he didn’t really do anything; also hired Barb to clean up HS basement) Viva Kansas:Join the Kansas Explorers’ Club- Eat pie in 6 different Kansas counties & mark them off on map (Wabaunsee, Potawanamie, Osage, Shawnee)
- FAILURE: Keep 25% of spending in the county (check each month)
- Get a Buy Wabaunsee campaign going for 2008 holidays
- Visit each of the cities in Wabuansee county (so far: Alma, Eskridge, Harveyville, Paxico)
- Attend 1 WCED meeting quarterly (winter) Homesteady:

I’m from Austin. I still love many things about Austin, but it kinda went in a direction I didn’t like & most of what I loved about the city has slowly eroded away. But I miss my friends & man, do I miss the food! Maybe I’ll fast the week before I go so I can eat myself into a coma.
