| Here's the main floor. The main entrance is at the center bottom, plus there are back entrances at either stairway. There are 8 classrooms, plus offices and a bunch of other little spaces not mapped out. The great big room is the gym, duh. The stage/backstage area sits over the dressing rooms. |
| The lovely light in the front hall. It's huge, almost 3' and so pretty it hurts. Pretty pretty! |
View directly opposite front doors. Those side doors lead to offices & storage rooms. |
| More the light. |
The little room opposite the office. Yoga room! |
| Here's a view from inside the front doors, right under that light. All that stuff's gone now. |
And here's a view towards the front & offices from the opposite side of the arch. You can see the built-in lockers along the wall. |
| This was originally the science room. It's one of those little wings that sticks out. We're making it into a guest room, decked out with my anatomy & science collection |
This is the opposite view of the same room. The cabinets are much lighter, more the color of the center cabinets in the previous picture. |
| Rm 209, former English room. We've got a nice little deco set my mom & I picked up a Topeka Junior League sale a couple of weeks ago in there now, but I think we'll probably move that to the Social Studies room and deck this one out with all my girlie gear. |
Another angle. |
| And around... |
This is now my bedroom. Yummy built-ins! |

Door of the yoga room. There's also the little a little slide up door |
| North stairway. Leads from back door up to ground floor. My room's on the right. |
Decorative niche that used to house a water fountain. We've got a mini-fride and coffe station in there now. And here's one like it upstairs that still has a fountain. |
| One of the two stairways on opposite ends of the hall. This is the south one. |
Girls' bathroom |
| Hallway. The lockers on the left are gone, but the built-in ones on the right remain. It's better without them, because you can see the terrazzo border along both sides. |
Gym doors with their dreamy 40s veneer. I love these doors. |
| Look inside! Wow! Here's the stage, inside the gym. The floors are gorgeous, gorgeous wood. |
Another view of the gym. Note the balcony at the top right and the scoreboard with a timer, which works. Do I hear a Scrabble tournament? Boggle anyone? |
| Backstage. We're currently using this as our den. |
Girls' showers. We're trying to figure out how we want to doll these up. We might put in a clawfoot tub with its own little cloister & people can sign up for it. |
| Boys' dressing room/equipment storage. These rooms are half-basement level rooms. |
Even the fixtures down here are nice, although we'll probably move them somewhere else. That paneled wall is just a room divider & will come right out. |
| Lovely built-ins. This is one's in the Social Studies room. |
Original fixtures. Pretty! All the downstairs classrooms but one have these. The look like space ships, don't they? |
